“Earth Heals Us and Art Transforms Us”

Melba Cope grew up on an Iowa farm, showing a keen interest in nature and wide open spaces. Her passion for photography began there. While living in New York City, her work began to reflect an interest in various forms of architecture.  This interest followed her to Nebraska, where photographs of towering skyscrapers were replaced with images of windmills and old barns.

Upon moving to Arizona and experiencing the spiritual energy of the Sonoran desert, she opened her business, Images by Melba. Windows and doors have become frequent subjects, reminding her of her own passage through life.  

 Nature has always inspired Melba with its drama, beauty, and harmony. It is her hope that her photography will inspire others to view life through multiple lenses, giving themselves additional options, opening doors they otherwise would not have seen.
